Update to Telehealth

Private Health Providers Supporting Telehealth

We can confirm that as of March 30 the following 24 health funds have approved telehealth appointments for psychology.

Telehealth Available Now

We can deliver support to you at this difficult time via online services.

New telehealth rebates have arrived, just as COVID-19 cases in Australia climb. Things are expected to get worse quickly, and Australian’s need to be prepared to work from home.

With telehealth and new MBS items, our Cared4 Katoomba practice can:

  • Help you avoid unnecessary contact with infected or at-risk patients
  • Provide online video or telephone consultations/sessions

So, which clients are eligible?

Clients in self-isolation due to having the virus, or meeting other quarantine criteria can access health services from home. At-risk groups such as the elderly or people who are immunocompromised are also eligible for telehealth services under these new items.

Bushfire affected clients can also access these telehealth services.

Any fee paying client who prefers to use telehealth services.

We are using the COVIU Telehealth platform at the moment. Follow this link to learn what technology you will need to have access to in order to make the best use of telehealth opportunities.

You will receive an invitation to your Coviu room and you can easily meet our therapists there on any device with the simple click of a link or button. https://cared4.coviu.com/room/@debramainwaring
